want to write them up a doc sheet with all notes theyd need on it
stuff like wp address/credentials, ftp, etc
you made a list of page image sizes last week, need that on this too. may be easiest to take a screencap of each page type (only like 5), and just draw an arrow to image, then put your spec stuff as an overlay. your call, whatever works/is easiest and is clear. we done after that and can get paid.
need to make some edits to this and make look nicer
strip all the AB addresses off page footers
for title page, put the webb food logo where AB currently is for the subtitle, just use 'webfsd.com credentials and instructions
strip out page 2 that has an old invoice on it
make stuff less visually confusing through, dont put underlines on all the credentials. just use divider lines. no need for notes blank.
on pages where you are showing images, dont just put editable area' as title on top, just break it down by page, so go 'home' and then callout the home images, etc, all on same page.
dont put all the min's on images, just put the sizes of the image we used, otherwise they will go and put a 5000px image in there at one point and call me asking why its slow to load
you didnt do all the images per page, for instance home has the carousel, and you got it, but there are several other spot iamges that they very well could change out , so spec them
dont worry about making all these notes on a crazy grid/form, you can just make it more simple, take a screen of entire page, draw simple arrow to image, and then have a floating box with the image title/dimensions written under it
yeah be sure you are looking at actual image sizes, not div size, on home and subpage carousels, some are big so that they can fill big screens
the project details carousel, thats a fixed size image.
Taylor Bernard on September 15, 2015:
all the project subpage are fixed width, height. looks like all the other main pages are just real large, and div is size down and made to stretch using 'cover'.
Justin Bernard on September 15, 2015:
then jjust spec it as is. so on the one that is set to cover, set it to what looks like a common size. and then exact spec on the project details.
trying. i think i found an install tutorial. about 20 steps is as minimal as it gets. their server is bare bones, no addons, or anything to help speed up the wp install. if i was using them as hosting id drop so fast it wasnt even funny. its a joke they dont have basic addons for this stuff already installed.
Taylor Bernard on September 15, 2015:
is this going to be installed on the main domain or a subdomain?
Justin Bernard on September 15, 2015:
Main
Taylor Bernard on September 15, 2015:
doesnt the wp install drop a new index.html file in the main dir? if i install this on a pre-existing domain main will it mess things up?
Taylor Bernard on September 15, 2015:
let me know on this. waiting on response and dont want to screw this install up.
Justin Bernard on September 17, 2015:
update this file with the new login usernames/url/etc, remove the mentions to AB server
Taylor Bernard on September 17, 2015:
where do you go to change the pw. prob should go ahead and make it more secure now rather than webb1234
Justin Bernard on September 17, 2015:
within wp cms
i think close to where you set permalinks/etc/reading
go ahead and change it to something similar to what they did on their other logins, something secure, and doc it
Taylor Bernard on September 17, 2015:
do you know what that guy on the phone setup the new mysql un/pw for the wp db with? or did he use the existing one one i made.
Justin Bernard on September 17, 2015:
dont add that to that sheet, no need, none of that database un/pw. just keep the same stuff they passed us, wiht the addition to the new wp admin
be more careful on stuff in future please so i can pass to you and trust its right
was bout to pas to client and just took a look at creds page, all kinda stuff was off, still had AB server in url for wordpress admin (just updated the password to the right thing), had ab url for godaddy, etc...

you need to make note on subpage headers though, as the home is slightly taller img i think
also do same thing on carousel images on project detail, as thats a specific img size as well
