lots of 'todo/to get' list apps like this.  note any good ones you see in case they have ideas that add to what we are doing.

2nd link is cool but people been talking about rfid food tracking for years now. wonder why its not been done yet. prob me not searching deep enough.

Justin Bernard on December 17, 2013:

i think it would be because of huge disconnect from fridge maker + food packager

none of example links are really practical, just proof of concepts , way down the road type stuff

havent found any practical stuff except for that egg counter that best buy has

samsung has 'smart fridge' that basically is a tablet embedded on door from what i can tell with no integration other than driving temprature.

interesting. looks like they just tried to throw some random ideas in there to have something 'new and techy'. pandora and scrolling pictures on your fridge? uhhhhhh.
only decent idea i saw was the 'expiration notification' on there.
just a digital timer, and still have to manually put it in.

Justin Bernard on December 28, 2013:

yeah kinda shocking actually, srsly just mimicking an ipad functionality.  weather/twitter/etc.  why no other device/home integration?  they already make all that stuff, microwaves/ovens/etc, why not have stuff talking to each other?   very gimmicky.

funny thing is you can have that on any fridge for ipad + $30

$300 for the base and 6 sensors. nooooo idea how its doing what its doing.  good presentation though, can learn from this, really similar to how id want to present sense...

edyn one is prob best idea/product of the group. but so expensive for each one. using a group of them would be mega $

Justin Bernard on November 18, 2014:

yeah it nice.  crazy science going on the sensor front if its accurate.  sending a charge and using resistance essentially to make calls on the soil

Taylor Bernard on November 18, 2014:

prob hyping the terminology thru the roof and 100% those are off the shelf sensors so def no designing anything on that end i bet.

Justin Bernard on November 19, 2014:

ha.  this app is like identical to what i want to do with sense.
